I was shocked at how good to quality of the sushi and seasoning was. They def use enough wasabi (most other places use too little for my personal taste) and the fish we got was so well seasoned. Great appetizers too and generous sake pours. Everyone who works here seems to be Japanese. The only negative was that the pacing was a bit slow but I'd def come back on a less busy night

Probably the best omakase in Brooklyn I've had. Went on a weekday right after they opened and the place was busy. Sat at the counter and ordered the $55 omakase for 9pcs and a handroll. Every piece was fresh and delicious. I was surprised by how good each piece was and for the price paid, it was a steal. Definitely coming back. My favorite omakase in Brooklyn. Highly recommended!

Excellent sushi. This is where I bring non sushi people to appreciate and love sushi for their first time. No soy sauce dipping here. You will eat it the way it is prepared by the chefs and since the fish is so exquisite, you don't need to add soy sauce or anything else. The service is respectful and attentive. The ambiance is a bit cold and really not something to even care about since the fish becomes the main attraction. 5pm on a Thursday evening felt like it was babysitting hour at the sushi joint. Park slope parents living in their bubble allowing their kids to be loud and obnoxious while others are dining around them. I can't blame the restaurant but parents need to take responsibility. No homework, coloring books, or crayons should be on a sushi restaurants table. Besides that... everything was excellent!! And thank you for not participating in the 4% credit card fee scam. Many customers appreciate that!!

Used the website to make a reservation and they emailed me pretty quickly. Got the omakase. $120 for 12 pieces. It tasted good but it wasn't anything amazing. Not amazing but not bad.

Some of the better sushi I have had in my life. The experience of eating here was great - the waiters were very attentive, they explained the dishes they brought out, they made sake recommendations. They went out of their way to make you feel like you were having a fine dining experience. And the quality of the fish and the rolls was fine dining level! The restaurant is rather small, and actually doesn't look that fancy in terms of the vibe. It is a more casual atmosphere to get a top notch meal. I will say - it is VERY expensive. Whenever a menu has items on it where the price is variable...or the price isn't listed...that's how you know you better brace your wallet. I tried to order basically the cheapest thing on the menu and still came away with a pretty hefty bill.

TLDR - good Omakase but not filling enough for the price Came here Saturday night on a date. We originally had a 5pm res but we're running late, and the restaurant was very accommodating in letting us push back to 5:30 (and we were still 10 min late). The restaurant is quite small and unassuming, an extended seating area in the back that we were seated at. The tables are pretty close together, enough that I could hear both parties' conversations around us. We started with a miso soup for each of us and a fish appetizer. Both soups were very flavorful, and we loved the fish too. We then ordered the Omakase for $55 and it came with 3 rounds of 3 pieces each + 1 hand roll. The uni and squid really stood out to me. The rest of the sushi was fresh and yummy, but several pieces had too much wasabi for my liking. I was satisfied after the soup, app and 10 pieces, but my partner was still hungry. Overall decently affordable Omakase spot with good sushi, but maybe not the most romantic date spot.
